Suma introduced us to the welcoming people and glorious sites of the cultural center of Sri Lanka, conveying to us his love for his country, his pride it in the accomplishments of its people, and what they and it offer to visitor. His knownledge gave us context for the natural and cultural sites we saw, adding to our enjoyment of them. He listens, designing his tour, on the fly if necessary, to meet the visitor'ss preferences. I am an ex-Ceylonese now living in Australia and have re-visited Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) several times over the years, but my most recent visit, I think, topped them all!!! In January this year I went back on a visit, accompanied by my nephew, who also was born there, and his Australian-born wife. A friend put me in contact with Ceylon Heritage Tours, who organised an absoluately unforgettable three-week tour for us. I gave them an idea of where we would like to go and they put together an itinerary -- which suited us all.We visited historic sites, had fabulous meals (banquets!) in some superb hotels and equally fabulous meals in little unknown spots in the rural countryside, had great views of the flora and fauna and enjoyed a cross-section of all the scenic beauties the island has to offer.
To any would be traveller to sri Lanka -- re-visiting or on a first visit -- I unhesitatingly recommend you use this travel mob. They are three enthusiastic, competent and very charming guys!
